Welcome to our school!
Horohoro School is 15km out of Rotorua, set in a rural farming community, under the beautiful Horohoro Bluffs.
We have four classrooms that cater for Year 1 to Year 8. We are a well-resourced school with amazing playgrounds, sports fields and a swimming pool. Technology is an important aspect of our programmes and each child from Year 3 to Year 8 has their own Samsung tablet assigned to them while at our school.
Our Māori culture and language are important to us and is woven throughout our programmes.
Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced. They love our tamariki and know each and every one of our students well.
How do I enrol my child?
Enrolling your child is really easy!
If your child is starting school for the first time in Aotearoa/New Zealand you will need to bring their birth certificate with you, but if they have already attended a school in Aotearoa/New Zealand enrolling is really easy.
We always suggest to whānau that you come out and visit the school to ensure that you and your child are comfortable at Horohoro School.
Please note that if your child is turning 5 soon we are more than happy to arrange school visits to help your child get used to being at school.
